Overview

GovernmentCIO is currently looking for a Scheduler to support Department of Veterans Affairs Health Portfolio’s Pharmacy Products within the Clinical Ancillary Product Line. The candidate must have a proven track record delivering strong client support, analysis, and deliverables.  The environment is dynamic and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.

 

Location: This is a remote working opportunity. This individual is expected to have a proven track record of working remotely with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various program/project participants to gather schedule data, including individual discrete events, relationships (dependencies) among events and actual schedule progress
  • Extract information from individuals with a wide range of personalities and communication styles using excellent communication skills and ability
  • Validate schedule logic following data input and create standard report formats and ad hoc reports as directed by senior staff
  • Identify symptoms for process improvement, perform gap analysis and recommend solutions
  • Understanding the client’s business issues and data challenges
  • Work as a team player and leader in order to effectively coordinate across functional teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline and 15 years of experience (10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education).
  • PMP Certification is highly desired.
  • Current VA network access is highly desired.
  • Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other Government agency.
  • Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodology.
  • Strong prior experience creating/maintaining schedules in accordance with VIP/VA PARS requirements and standards to maintain project compliance.
  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills with proven ability to balance competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including reports and presentations.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, collaborative, and results-driven environment with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Means to build and manage client and professional relationships at all levels.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.
