    GovernmentCIO is looking for a Cybersecurity Program Manager to join our Austin, Texas PMO team. This individual will support the Department of Veterans Affairs Infrastructure Cybersecurity Team, and will be responsible for the planning, and execution of enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Must have experience with diverse cybersecurity IT projects both large and small.  
    • Must be well versed in full systems development life cycle, enterprise wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, structure and management practices. 
    • Must be able to identify and mitigate risks to the program. 
    • Must be able to manage to cost, schedule and performance.
    • Demonstrated experience successfully managing disparately located personnel.
    • Demonstrated and current experience managing programs with complex data processing requirements.
    • Demonstrated and current experience managing program delivering systems/tools/solutions in production, while transitioning to better technology solutions.
    • Must be able to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms.
    • Must be able to use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations. 
    • Identifying symptoms for process improvement.
    • Analytical and investigation skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
    • Knowledge of NIST and RMF.
    • Ability to work with GRC applications such as RiskVision and eMASS.
    • Knowledge of the following security skills:
      • Security Incident Handling and Response
      • SIEM
      • Firewalls/IDS/IPS
      • OWASP
      • Mobile Device Management
      • Data Protection
      • Identity and Access Management

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree, Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline. 10 additional years experience may be substituted for education requirement.
    • 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity discipline and project management with a civil agency. 
    • Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) experience
