  • Overview

    GovernmentCIO is seeking a UI/UX Designer for a .NET/SharePoint project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The candidate will work collaboratively with the VA Product Owner, VA stakeholders, and the contractor Development Team to enhance the customized .NET/SharePoint application. The candidate will be a proactive, forward-leaning self-starter able to work in a fast-paced Agile environment. This role is ideal for a new graduate looking to expand their IT and development experience. 


    The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for:

    • Working with multiple Scrum teams comprised of .NET and SharePoint Tool developers, automation testers, and analysts
    • Providing high-quality design solutions to enhance the .NET/SharePoint application


    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 0-2 years of experience of creating mock-ups, wireframes, and other UI layouts using designer tools
    • 0-2 years of programming experience using HTML and CSS
    • Experience working under the Agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or XP
    • Experience in providing guidance, recommendations, and implementation for features and enhancements of web-based applications
    • Ability to effectively communicate with development and client staff on a daily basis
    • Ability to obtain a Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) clearance

    Desired Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree
    • Experience using Telerik Kendo UI software
    • Experience using JavaScript
    • Experience with Section 508 compliance
    • Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs web-development projects
