    Under supervision from the Controller, and working closely with the Human Resources Department, the Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible and time collection and the processing of Payroll. The position will administer payroll policies and procedures pertaining to time collection, is responsible for compiling, posting and making changes to employee time and personnel records and payroll data. This position also has general accounting responsibilities, Accounts Receivable and other duties as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    • Collect all departmental time tracking sheets in Deltek Time and Expense ensuring that they are completed accurately. Contact various department supervisors for any missing or incomplete timesheets.
    • Train staff on completing timesheets.
    • Calculate leave accrual and maintain accrued leave records.
    • Enter new hires, terminations and all relevant changes to employee records in Deltek Costpoint system.
    • Execute Deltek Time and Expense processing and interface with Costpoint.
    • Generate internal management reports from Payroll System and Deltek Costpoint.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
    • Assist in the preparation of relevant journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and other necessary support for month-end close.
    • Answer timesheet inquires and resolve all discrepancies as they arise.

    Qualifications

    • BS, 5 to 10 years’ experience, Experience with payroll in PayChex and/or ADP, Knowledge of Costpoint is required
