    GovernmentCIO is seeking an Identity and Access Management Specialist to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information & Technology (OI&T). The candidate will work under general direction of the IAM Program Manager with little to no daily guidance. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and enhancing technology platforms related to all IAM services. The successful candidate will also be well versed in Commercial Cloud technologies, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. The candidate will also be responsible for working with many projects and project stakeholders of varying technical expertise simultaneously, therefore excellent communication skills, both verbally and written are required. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with IAM as managed services.

    Responsibilities

    • Must have experience with diverse IT projects both large and small in scale as a Technical IAM Architect, with focus on Managed Services and Cloud Technologies.
    • Must be knowledgeable in Cybersecurity technologies and practices and their relationship to IAM.
    • Must have experience with COTS IAM solutions and industry product offerings.
    • Must be knowledgeable in Identity processes, to include but not limited to, PKI, Federation, Access Management, and privileged access management.
    • Must have general understanding of protocols such as: HTTP, XML, LDAP and SQL.
    • Must be well versed in Network Engineering and Security best practices and concepts, Software Defined Networks and Virtual Networking.
    • Strong analytical and investigation skills crafting solutions to challenging problems or issues.
    • Ability to identify technical gaps and pain points and devise solutions to address them.
    • Experience with Smart Card authentication technologies.
    • Experience working in a highly Agile environment.
    • Experience with ITIL Framework
    • Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a plus

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    • 15 or more years IT experience
    • Experience with modern IAM technologies such as COTS managed service offerings and software as a service (e.g., 5 more years)
    • Expert-level experience (e.g., 10 or more years) of experience systems engineering and IT solution delivery.
    • 5 or more years IT experience in Government;
    • Possess or be capable of maintaining a Public Trust security clearance

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Relevant technical courses of study, certifications, professional writing courses, and other training related to any aspect of proposal development or proposal management will be considered in addition to or in lieu of an academic degree.
    • ITIL certification or training preferred
