    GovernmentCIO is currently looking for a Enterprise Architect - Mid to join our team to support one of our government clients.  The Enterprise Architect will provide IT Strategy development, maintenance and monitoring including strategic road mapping across the IT Portfolio

    Responsibilities

    The Enterprise Architect - Mid will:

    • Support the Enterprise Architecture Program including:
    • Support IT Strategy development, maintenance and monitoring including strategic road mapping across the IT Portfolio
    • Support EA Definition and Maintenance including establishment and maintenance of standards such as technology “bricks”, design patterns, controlled vocabularies and user interface standards
    • Support solution architecture guidance through direct, sprint by sprint engagement with development teams
    • Support Solution Architecture review and approval at Design, Release Planning, Test Readiness, and Operational Readiness Reviews.
    • Participate in Quarterly Planning Meetings with product teams.
    • Recommend and execute processes for AoA and Market Research for products and services to be acquired, including measurable success criteria and user engagement plans.
    • Develop and maintain Enterprise Data Models and Web Service Specifications.
    • Support intake and management of Application Portfolio Management data in government tool.
    • Runreports and what-if analyses against Application Portfolio Management (APM) data.
    • Support Project Online and SharePoint tools, including recommendations for enhanced implementation and integration with internal and external systems.
    • Support Migration of all application portfolio data from Innotas to SharePoint, and integration with ISB data in SharePoint.
    • Support Establishment and publication of a set of controlled vocabularies for use within the NHLBI, including a general glossary of terms, and specific vocabularies/ontologies for scientific concepts that draw on standard vocabularies such as MeSH and UMLS.
    • Support Establishment of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) standards, and development of reusable UI/UX components.

    GCIO seeks a Enterprise Architect - Mid with the following:

    • Demonstrated knowledge of architecture, agile, ITIL, complex systems strategy and architecture experience
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver practical enterprise architecture, i.e., an enterprise perspective on business, application, data and technical architectures focused on delivering value to the business while maintaining consistent architectural vision.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan approach to support IT strategy development, maintenance, and monitoring, including strategic road mapping across ITAC’s portfolio.
    • Ability to develop and implement new technology standards, principles, bricks and patterns, enterprise data models, and web service specifications to evolve NIH enterprise architecture.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage with a multi-vendor developer community to build consensus around architectural decisions, to provide direct guidance and to ensure comformity with the architecture.
    • Ability to use develop design methodologies that increase system reliability, decrease maintenance requirements, and meet functional requirements.
    • Knowledge of system security engineering
    • Knowledge of SDLC, security tools and technologies
    • Excellent analysis and writing skills

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements: Bachelors - BA/BS

    Years of Experienced Required: Enterprise Architects will have at least 10 years’ experience in a software architect role including design and development of large scale architectures of similar scope and complexity

    Preferred Certification:  Active CCSP or other equivalent cloud certification, ITIL, Agile
    Demonstrated Subject Matter expertise in Architecture, SDLC, Agile, ITIL

    Clearance: Secret or Level 5: Public Trust - Moderate Risk. Contractor/subcontractor employees assigned to Level 5 positions with no previous investigation and approval shall undergo a Suitability Determination and a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI), or a Limited Background Investigation (LBI).
