    GCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of VIP Management Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Portfolio. The VA’s Veterans-focused Integration Process (VIP) is a Lean-Agile framework that services the interest of Veterans by streamlining Information and Technology activities. In support of the Health Portfolio’s adherence to VIP guidelines, the VIP Analyst will focus on business process reengineering, gap analysis, and process improvement strategies. The environment is dynamic and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.

    Responsibilities

    The VIP Management Analyst will:

    • Develop an evaluation method to ensure compliance with VIP guidelines
    • Conduct process improvement strategies to improve the current VIP process for multiple projects
    • Oversee VIP process for multiple projects
    • Proactively monitor VIP artifact repositories to ensure compliance prior to Critical Decision reviews
    • Develop and maintain VIP compliance metrics
    • Ability to track the status of 20 - 40 projects simultaneously.

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related technical discipline
    Years of Experienced Required: 8+

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Well versed in the Veteran-Focused Integration Process (VIP) project management methodology
    • Experience within the VA Health portfolio is a plus
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Functional knowledge of IBM’s Rational and/or GitHub
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
    • Possess strong analytical skills
