    GCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of Deployment Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Enterprise Services. The Deployment Project Manager will serve as a part of a team deploying hardware and associated Software across various VA Locations. This individual will be coordinating the installment at locations where qualified staff is available, ensuring the team has access to the site and all parties involved are ready for the installs.


    The Deployment Project Manager will:

    • Successfully coordinate and interact with various personalities and levels within an organization
    • Present on-time completion of all deliverables 
    • Track schedule and performance progress
    • Identify and mitigate risks to the program
    • Manage disparately located (remote) personnel
    • Use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations
    • Identify symptoms for process improvement 



    Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, systems or business preferred (10 years of experience can be substituted for degree)
    Years of Experienced Required: 10+


    Additional Qualifications:

    • Demonstrate strong experience leading projects with multiple priorities
    • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of asset management including, security, and technology risk concepts
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to facilitate discussions around complex issues and bring them to resolution
    • Possess analytical and investigation skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
    • Must have experience using SharePoint or other collaboration or automation tools
    • Must possess technical writing abilities
    • Ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance
    • Understanding of Asset Management systems (ITAM)
    • PMP desired, but not required
