  • Overview

    Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, will develop and lead GCIO’s Data Engineering and Analytics Business Unit that has expertise in analytics, statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computational statistics, data mining, and data management.   Should have hands on technical proficiency with tools like Python, SPSS, and SAS and be able to leverage the latest technologies and create analytic tools and prototypes that support scientific analyses and visualizations. Will annalyze operational capabilities related to IT functionality, focusing on integration and interoperability issues for multiple federal agencies.  Will perform research, analysis, and visualization design support related to federal agencies challenges.   Will work with Capability Business Unit to develop cutting edge scientific analyses, simulations, and data visualizations.


    Responsible for growth and execution within capability business unit.  Responsible for building organic growth, cross-leveraging resources within the business unit to increase margins and providing domain expertise across all accounts within the company. 


    • Direct and oversee the IT Services projects and integration priorities to ensure consistent, repeatable process execution.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key IT Services leadership responsible for integration support and execution.
    • Work closely with IT Services leadership to understand their processes and platforms.
    • Identify and correct complex cross-functional operational issues.
    • Continually develop and refine best practices for integration consistent with GovernmentCIO Delivery System (GDS).
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, providing Thought Leadership to the business unit and company, participating in interviews, articles and events with GovernmentCIO Media.
    • Track and report progress of all project and integration activities.
    • Establish and update IT Services project roadmap annually or as needed to align with GovernmentCIO priorities.
    • Act as liaison with other Capability Executives on joint initiatives to help drive growth.
    • Recruit, manage and continuously develop a world-class team of technology and content professionals, through leadership and collaborative team building. Guide staff development, identifying gaps in skills.
    • Help develop our technical support team into a world class organization by fostering a culture that is obsessed with customer satisfaction and service excellence.
    • Manage pipeline of opportunities, related to capability business unit, across federal market.
    • Work with company’s growth team providing technical expertise and content for market research, white papers and proposals. Look for opportunities for organic growth, finding and recording differentiators for the business unit.
    • Meet with customers for existing projects within business unit on a regular basis ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Continuously meet with thought leaders and decision makers in the federal government to promote business unit capabilities, provide solutions and drive growth.


    • Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred)
    • Must have at least 10 years of related experience and expertise in the data engineering and analytics capability area
    • Must have 5 years of management experience to include 2 years leading and growing a practice area
    • Experience in a consulting firm environment is highly preferred
