    Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, the VP - Cyber Security will develop and lead GCIO’s Cybersecurity Business Unit focused on the execution of Cybersecurity strategy and solutions to address the issues that most concern federal agencies.  The ideal candidate will develop Cyber capabilities and solutions to address the clients strategic, risk management, and regulatory requirements and build long term strategies to ensure critical digital assets are secure.  In addition, they will support clients in multiple Cybersecurity fields, such as policy, governance, risk management, Cybersecurity operations, identity and access management, and data protection. The ideal candidate should have experience with regulatory security issues and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and systems controls. They will be able to identify and lead the capture of specific opportunities and build a business around Cybersecurity across federal agencies.


    Responsible for growth and execution within capability business unit.  Responsible for building organic growth, cross-leveraging resources within the business unit to increase margins and providing domain expertise across all accounts within the company. 


    • Direct and oversee the IT Services projects and integration priorities to ensure consistent, repeatable process execution.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key IT Services leadership responsible for integration support and execution.
    • Work closely with IT Services leadership to understand their processes and platforms.
    • Identify and correct complex cross-functional operational issues.
    • Continually develop and refine best practices for integration consistent with GovernmentCIO Delivery System (GDS).
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, providing Thought Leadership to the business unit and company, participating in interviews, articles and events with GovernmentCIO Media.
    • Track and report progress of all project and integration activities.
    • Establish and update IT Services project roadmap annually or as needed to align with GovernmentCIO priorities.
    • Act as liaison with other Capability Executives on joint initiatives to help drive growth.
    • Recruit, manage and continuously develop a world-class team of technology and content professionals, through leadership and collaborative team building. Guide staff development, identifying gaps in skills.
    • Help develop our technical support team into a world class organization by fostering a culture that is obsessed with customer satisfaction and service excellence.
    • Manage pipeline of opportunities, related to capability business unit, across federal market.
    • Work with company’s growth team providing technical expertise and content for market research, white papers and proposals. Look for opportunities for organic growth, finding and recording differentiators for the business unit.
    • Meet with customers for existing projects within business unit on a regular basis ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Continuously meet with thought leaders and decision makers in the federal government to promote business unit capabilities, provide solutions and drive growth.


    • Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred)
    • Must have at least 10 years of related experience and expertise in the Cyber capability area
    • Must have 5 years of management experience to include 2 years leading and growing a practice area
    • Experience in a consulting firm environment is highly preferred
