Overview

GovernmentCIO is looking for a Project Manager to join our Enterprise Cloud contract supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

Responsibilities

Project Manager (PM) must have strong project management knowledge, skills, and abilities to efficiently and effectively manage project activities that map to the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). The PM is responsible for leading a team to accomplish program, project. and/or task objectives. The PM must be able to evaluate all key project deliverables and products to ensure they meet the required level of quality and are routed through the appropriate approval process for final approval.

  2. Strong technical understanding and competence in problem solving and simplifying issues complement the project manager’s proactive ability to manage and identify issues ahead of time to ensure that the project is running effectively.
  3. Create clear and attainable objectives, building requirements, and managing the constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality.
  4. Lead the team to prioritize signed off deliverables based on analysis of strategic importance, task outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources and deadlines.
  5. Bridges the gap between the various teams and customer.


Administrative Support can be an array of business, program and/or management analysts, communications specialist, etc. that carries out day-to-day support to the Program/Project Manager(s) (Intake). The skills are those that require attention to detail, business savvy, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power-Point, SharePoint) proficiency, communications, and political awareness. These Analyst(s) will support and/or at times create presentations, develop and manage reports, coordinate and/or facilitate meetings in addition to record meeting minutes. The Analyst(s) may be required to update SharePoint, which is the primary collaboration tool with stakeholders such as list and library maintenance. They should possess analytical skills enough to gather and interpret data whether qualitative or quantitative in nature. The Analyst(s) should possess technical skills to interpret technical requirements when performing assessments and analyses tasks. The resource should be allocated 100% to their designated tasks that support the functions of Intake activities.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree - Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline,
10+ years of experience,  8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
